The crashes are real

On Sunday, my wonderful husband and I decided to go down to Kangaroo Valley to stay with our beautiful friends Nick and Ange, who kindly invited us to stay with them, whilst they were away for a week, getting out of Sydney.
So off we went in our brand new car, when an hour into the journey our car blew black smoke, bunny hopped into McDonalds at Albion Park and in no uncertain terms, informed us we were not driving any further. After a "Create your own salad" at Macca's (as Paleo as I could get!), our dear friends, collected me and took me down with them to the Valley, whilst Nick stayed behind waiting for the tow truck. Anyway, this post is not about that or that evening (Thank you for the wonderful seafood dinner Ange!! and sorry for suggesting we watch Magic Mike Nick!!), but the next day.
I woke up feeling as if I had a bad sleep, waking often and doubting whether I had any deep sleep at all. After showering and getting ready for the day, I noticed I couldn't handle the thought of food and the noise and buzz of the house was all too much for my senses to cope with.

I retired to the bedroom, where I laid down and promptly fell asleep.. for close to 3 hours! By which time we had to leave to make our way back to Wollongong to pick up a rental and drive home in the rain. I couldn't stomach food until about 5pm that night and even then it was only a few carrot sticks and hummus.
I then went back to bed around 8.45pm and by 9pm I was fast asleep. I didn't wake until 8am the next morning. Even then I could have slept all day! But I had an event to organise, which was tiring, I was back in bed by 9pm again last night for another deep sleep. I think if I wasn't making myself get up and doing stuff during the day, I would honestly sleep most of it away. I believe on Monday I was so tired I was making myself sick and hence why food and noise were affecting me so much.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my GP to try to work out if there is anything going on "down south" which is causing blood in my urine.. but even that is a little TMI for me.. so I'll let you know whether there is any diagnosis to speak of in the coming weeks... other than that, I promise to not mention it again!
