Things change all the time

I have had an up and down few days, which is to be expected.

There are times where I forget that I had the treatment and much to Nick's dismay I just get on with things without resting and then usually things come to halt and I am reminded.

Like for example this weekend past, I was adamant I was going to have a family weekend and do things so the kids feel like they have had fun with their mum/step-mum. So we went out had brunch, did a little shopping and played board games. They then decided they wanted to go to the pub (around the corner) for dinner. On my way there, I started to feel sick, my stomach was hurting and the world started spinning, but in true Melinda style, I pushed on... I must have gone to the bathroom half a dozen times, and tried to do my eye exercises for my vertigo a dozen times more.

The next day, I thought - you know I'll just rest today, but again the kids wanted to do stuff, so I just pushed on... come night time I had a blistering headache, a sore and scratchy throat and achy legs.

Oh have I mentioned the bone pain? Nope? Oh well... Last week on around Thursday I started to experience bone pain, it started in my left upper leg and by today it has spread to both legs, lower back and upper arms. It feels like growing pains... pain that radiates from the inside out... kind of like growing pains whilst lying in the snow, cold to the bone.

Last night was another sleepless night, between my headache, thirst and bone pain.. plus the added layer of itchy hot hands.. I wasn't at all conducive to sleep, so I've decided today I would spend the day in bed resting.. listening to my body is key, I need to rest.
