Sun is shining...

What a glorious day it is today Sydney! The sun is shining and it's beautiful and warm. I feel good today, surprisingly after last night! There was one last guest to show up to my MS party and that was the Diva known as the MS Hug.

I could feel her creeping in during the day, but tried to put it down to perhaps sleeping funny the night before. By about 9pm, she was in full blown Diva attitude swing, she had announced herself loud and proud and she wasn't going anywhere. I decided I would kick her out asap and took one of my hard core pain killers and waited... in the mean time she decided kicking and screaming was the way to go. Nick was amazing, I could see him googling for answers and, bless him, decided that long deep breaths were the way to go... which I might add, when you're in the throws of an MS hug, is the single most painful thing to do. All credit to him, he understood that if I was to get worked up, it would only prolong the pain. So over the next couple of hours of hot wheat bags, deep breathing and back rubs, the painkillers slowly took over and my body melted into goo.... I think this was the closest that Nick and I will ever get to child birth.. so, you could say it was a bonding experience! :)

Today, I woke up feeling somewhat normal, and decided that I would start carrying on with life as normal as possible, pausing only when I needed to, rather than pre-empting what I think would happen if I did something in particular.

After a visit with my neuro, he was happy with how things were progressing and said to just exercise

"common-sense" when making choices and be vigilant with my blood tests. This makes me happy! Because life can continue as normal. He is also confident (as I am) that everything will iron themselves out over the next 4-6 weeks and I should hopefully start to see symptoms melt away..

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet now....
