Day 2

Today started somewhat like yesterday, except for the fact I got upgraded to Business Class as I got a private bed instead of a chair in the common area. I have been up since 4am (only 5 hours sleep) and knew I would need more rest throughout the day.

The timings were the same as yesterday, except I was having nurofen instead of panadol. It's just helping with the pain relief better. I managed to get about 1.5 hours sleep in the middle of the day which was nice and my lunch was more palatable... see Business Class :)

Methly pred and Lemtrada occurred without issue, but about an hour through my observation time, I started to notice I was developing a hot flush, sweaty palms, shortness of breath and my stomach was cramping and sore. I pressed the button (first time all day) and all 3 nurses came in... they called the doctor, the pharmaceutical company and took my observations 3 more times. My blood pressure was a little higher than normal, 118/78, it's been at around 96/55 all day (I generally have low bp except when I am excited like I was when I found out I had a private bed in the morning!!), but it wasn't in the "high" category. They all agreed that it wasn't anything clinically major and if I wanted I could spend the night. I said no because if it's not a clinical issue, just probably an inflammation of my MS (which I've lived with long enough to deal with) then I would just go home. It was decided that tomorrow they would add an hour onto my Lemtrada infusion, 5 hours instead of 4... so off to the hospital earlier tomorrow morning. But.. I have been guaranteed Business Class again tomorrow! Bright side people, bright side!

Ciao x
